Reconnect to Your Heart’s Desire
Have you lost touch with your heart’s desire? Have you disconnect from what you truly wish to be, to do and to have? In your day to day life, I can only guess that you have replaced your dreams and desires with your own cold, hard reality. There are the everyday things that must be done and you have no time to wallow in reverie and dreams.
This is the beginning of the end of life. Once you have hit this plateau, you begin to descend – unless you intentionally and deliberately do something to set an ascent. You have the choice to rise to the level of your intentions or sink into abysmal darkness. I dare say, you probably would choose to rise, but…. Yes, the dreaded “but”. I say your but is behind you, leave it there! Look forward and choose to rise; choose to move in the direction of your heart’s desires.
Although you have disconnected from your heart’s desires, it has never left you. It is still right where you left it – in the center of your divine being. In order to reconnect to your heart’s desire, you must intentionally do so. You must make and take the time to become re-acquainted with that part of you that makes you sing and dance – especially when you don’t feel like it. As I am living out my heart’s desires, my chronic pain seems to take a back seat for the duration. I can create for hours on end without my body screaming and writhing in pain. This is the power of your heart’s desire. You and I were born with this desire. We knew it as children; we lost it as we grew up and conformed to the masses. We had to become realistic and practical. Little did we realize becoming realistic and practical meant losing little pieces of our authenticity – our true selves.
In conforming, life deals you your hand and you play that hand. You have forgotten that you are capable of creating your own game; especially if the one you are playing isn’t fun and exciting. If your life does not light you up, then what’s the use of living it? Put that false self to rest and allow your true self to rise and shine a brighter light. First, make the conscious decision that you want to be, to do and to have your heart’s desire. Second, believe that you deserve it and you have the right to have it. Third, get in alignment with creating your heart’s desire and making it your reality. If your heart’s desire is to open your own crafts shop, then slaving away at your administrative job everyday isn’t in alignment with your desire. Unless you can come to life in your current reality, where you are right now, then it will be difficult to make the shift into where you desire to be. Granted, you must work because you need the income. So, be grateful for that income. While you are in this job, be grateful that you are making contacts and connections that could potentially benefit you later on. After awhile, this job is not such a drudgery and you can begin to see your brighter future.
Don’t know what’s your heart’s desire? Your wise self knows – simply ask. What are the things you can do for hours on end without noticing the time? What are the things you do in spite of your external circumstances or your reality? What do others comment and compliment you on? Take some quiet time to reconnect to your heart’s desire and begin to live the life you were created to live.
