The Truth About Our Planet and Its Future

Recently I was visiting a friend whom I haven’t seen for a while. She invited me to her home where we had a nice conversation whilst the TV was on.
The TV was showing a program about possible future changes of our planet. It talked about the moon’s increasing distance from the earth and the possible impact that the earth will experience as a result.
It also talked about the gradual expansion of the sun and that in the future it will engulf our planet.
The program basically pictured the changes in nature, stars and planets happening by accident. It presented this situation as totally independent of the actions of humanity.
You could come under the impression after watching this program that people are at the whim of the universe when in fact the opposite is true. Universe is just responding to our actions. If we are messing with it, it will mess with us.
Programs as such convince people that the nature is something to be afraid of instead of to be loved, respected and cared for. They don’t mention the possible steps the humanity should take to avoid such doom. They simply try to convince people that the universe is highly unpredictable and that it can affect poor unsuspecting humans at any time without any reason whatsoever.
No wonder you see frightened people in the streets caring posters about the earth coming to an end:)

That’s exactly what I’m talking about.
If you keep being brainwashed about being totally at the favour of the universe, you will either become one of such people or stop caring about the earth completely – after all, there’s nothing you can do about it, right?
The media keeps picturing our earth, stars and planets as separate from each other. It so amazes me that people still believe that that’s the case, however that shouldn’t surprise me at all when I think about my own attitude a few years back. Anyway, such low awareness level of the masses is largely influenced by the media and listening to the opinions of other not aware people.
The truth is, we cause every single negative or positive event in the world. At the moment very big changes are happening in humanity and that also affects the entire earth. Volcano eruptions, hurricanes and floods correlate with the mass changes of people’s attitudes and behaviour.
Although some people awaken to understand that earth cannot be treated so negatively, most people don’t want to change their lives to change the destiny of the earth. Of course, it’s easy to think that if you alter your lifestyle, you won’t make a big impact, but this very thinking stops the progress we could make towards earth’s lifespan.
It takes only a small change in our daily habits to contribute to the well-being of our earth. We can all recycle, donate for non-profit environmental organisations or volunteer for some good cause that would benefit our planet. Such actions would create a better life for us and for all living things.
Some changes are harder to cause than others, of course. For example, it might make no difference if you stop buying unnecessary things made from trees. However if enough people would stop buying them, so many more forests would avoid mindless destruction.
Although to implement some changes would take the lifestyle adjustments of many, it still could be done. Unfortunately, at our current development stage, it’s not very likely that there will be enough people who would really care to alter their lifestyles to save our earth. Many people are only concerned with things directly affecting them. They hear about the limited supplies of the earth, but that doesn’t impact them at this very moment, so they don’t care.
As long as people hold such attitudes, the governments won’t care about the change either. People select political parties which promise better future for the humanity, not for the earth. More jobs, more security and more wealth are the promises people want to hear, not the protection of our forests or a wiser use of our natural resources. As long as people care only about their own ends, no political party will be selected which cares about the well-being of the earth.
I don’t want to sound too pessimistic, but our current treatment of the earth doesn’t promise its bright future. The earth will not be able to support us if we keep damaging it that much. The earth is nothing more than the living organism supporting us. You can compare it to your body. If you keep eating junk, don’t exercise and excessively drink and smoke, your body will soon get ill and it will be not long until it collapses. So if we keep damaging our earth as we do now, it will change to such an extent that it won’t be able to sustain life.
We should respect the earth and be grateful for the living conditions it provides. We should see the earth as an extension of who we are and not some separate non-living thing. It’s very much alive, with breathtaking mountains, unrestful seas, rivers, beautiful birds and forests. The earth is a living thing that responds to our mass thoughts and actions.
Not many people stop during their busy days to look at the sky or listen to the sound of birds. We take for granted what surrounds us 24/7. All the beauty of the earth is overlooked by those who think it will always be there. But if we keep behaving in the way we do now, that beauty will disappear at some stage. And then people will acknowledge the miracle of the earth, but it will only exist in their memories.
If you read this article with mental but not spiritual understanding, you will probably do nothing to positively affect the earth. However if you start meditating or just being silent for at least 20 minutes a day, you will start feeling a deep connection to the earth, and that will spur you into adjusting your lifestyle with the earth in mind.
Please, don’t be like an average ignorant person only caring for her needs. The earth supports you and it really deserves your respect for such care. Here are some of the things you could do to insure a better future for the life-giving earth:
- Don’t throw trash on the earth.
- Keep seas, lakes and rivers clean.
- Buy environmentally friendly products.
- Don’t think about the earth coming to an end.
- Feel the connection between every single thing in this universe.
- Be in the nature to be recharged and to gain better knowledge of what’s good for both of you.
- Opt out from receiving paper bills.
- Buy ebooks instead of physical books.
- Recycle.
- Refuse to eat meat or wear leather clothing.
- Choose the least damaging transport mode.
- Wisely use earth’s natural resources.
The earth will thank you for that.

Thanks for your comment, Harry!
Hi Simona.
I enjoy reading your website, but i do not agree with you on this topic.
I think it is complete hypocrisy to say that earth is more important than human beings. After all, we have computers and internet only because of that “greedy” human activity.

I didn’t say that the earth is more important than human beings, I’m just saying that people should treat it better.
You didn’t say it directly. But these environmentalism ideas are false to me.
I like these better:

Do not want to insult or anything. Just posting my opinion. I have bought some of your products and they are great. But i just completely do not agree on this
Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinions:)Thanks for your comment!
Val, I believe more that she was saying we are a part of the Earth as all things are one. Nature is a gift for us to learn from. The next time you are worried or angry at something go outside and watch a bird, or look at a flower, find shapes in the clouds and I bet what ever it was that was bothering you would have disppeared for that moment allowing you to change your mood. Nature allows us to be still. Present. Oh it is here for a reason, we just have to awaken to the message. Not one thing is more important than the other but rather all is in balance. I hope this helps to clarify– Namaste
Beautiful reply – I would definitely agree with your views. Thank you, Anise!
Hi Simona, I agree 100% with you on this subject, we can`t continue to believe that the universe is a distant and untouchable thing, we affect it with every thought, and as it works on the smallest thing it works on the largest, the same way we do damage to our body, we do it to the earth. People have to awaken to this truth, and start taking responsability for their actions, becouse we can change this for the good, we are all One.
Thank you for this amazing reply – that’s exactly what I would love to see.
I’m the only person I know who looks up toward the clear blue sky and lush green plants and thinks: “What beauty!”
I totally agree with all of this ^^
Buy ebooks instead of physical books— ??? Simona, I am disappointed..Computers are damaging our earth more then physical books. If u get money from the net u shouldnt be that selfish..
if we didnt have computers 99% of folk would not be waken up ebooks are far better than physical books theres no trees being chopped to make them and the trees will correct any emmissions that are claimed to be put out by computers
thats what trees do correct the earth
so we gotta leave them alone and stop doing what we think is best for us and start doing whats best for the planet and we will see thats best for us to ( we need to stop mesing with nature )
peace
I’m 21, have recently quit drinking alcohol, and am currently trying to quit smoking marijuana.
I was two days of pot (this Monday just gone ) and my brain was fusing outwards, I was very short tempered and had no idea what was happening to me. I was laying in bed trying to relax myself at about 4.30pm and my girlfriend was trying to comfort me. I didnt want to talk to anyone for some reason. All of a sudden, almost sub-consciously, i got up, grabbed my ipod, got on my bike (that i hadnt rode for over 6 months) and started riding towards the sun.
I embraced every second of nature along the way as if it was my first day on earth. My mind was clear and all i was thinking about was the road in front of me. I travelled for over an hour to places that are only minutes in driving distance, yet i had never seen before. I rode to the highest peek of land, saw the sun set, then continued to ride until i hit a dead end, surrounded by private property. I then did a u-turn a found my way home.
When i got back, my girlfriend was sitting on my bed reading, she said “hey”. I noticed she had closed my macbook (that was downloading before i left), my short fuse returned. To cut it short and simple, i told her to fuck off and go. I didnt plan for that to happen. I had been with her for over 3 years to that point.
I know this may seem off topic, but my point is; an hour out of my typical comfort zone, free from distractions (such as modern entertainment, drugs and a sexual mate), spent embracing nature instead, changed my life. We get so caught up in our own little worlds that we lose our bond to our mother, our earth.
I like to imagine a world where EVERYONE understands and applies that knowledge, of our connection to nature and the universe.
Healthy, efficient and sustainable living is a reality that is entirely possible in our current day and age, yet it is still not applied on mass scale. I know why, but does everyone else?
Thanks, Josh, for sharing your story. It’s really true that most people are so caught up with what they do that they completely miss the big picture. Great insight!
“Computers are damaging our earth more then physical books.”
“stop doing what we think is best for us and start doing whats best for the planet and we will see thats best for us”
That’s why i am skeptical about this. These are anti-progress and anti-human mind ideas. That’s evil.
if you keep at it you will see there is no evil except in your mind
i dont understand what you mean by your comment maybe im to far gone to see the fault with this there is no anti anything on the page only understanding and appreciation as far as i can make out
we are one we are the earth and the earth is us if we look after it it will look after us
peace!
It’s so interesting to see that different people get different insights from reading the post. I do not see any negativity in what I wrote, but I guess if a person holds some negativity inside it’s easy to see it outside, reflecting back at him/her.
So actually that could be a great learning experience, if a person would take time and look deep inside to see what is it that perceives that negativity:)
Val, as long as you see evil in things, you will keep suffering. I’m happy for people to express their opinions, no matter what they may be; I don’t judge them, and their opinions don’t hurt me in any way.
If you judge whether the person did the right or the wrong thing, you won’t experience ultimate happiness.
Thanks for sharing your views.
For everyone who wants to understand why environmentalism is evil i recommend to read Ayn Rand philosophy. Here’s the link again:

Simona, i know what you try to say. But for me Ayn Rand’s objectivism makes much more sense.
I think our planet is going to somewhere whith universe time that we can’t expect .
simply, universe is so greate thing that we can’t say what it is ..
human being emerged a couple of millions ago right?
whatever it is.. important thing is that human being can’t deny law of universe and can’t live without universe.. as a result we should be obediant…
Well, this site looks way better than my google blog. I think I should use WordPress aswell. What do you think? Regards.
There is a powerful message here.
Have you read about Nassim Haramein´s science? Many people think he is a modern day Galileo! Make sure you see his DVD trailer on his webpage. Just google his name or The Resonance Project.
Thank you all for your interesting comments!
