Join My Mind, Body And Soul Retreat In Malta!

This trip is fully booked. If you wish to go on a similar trip, contact me and I will let you know when I’m organising another retreat.

Recently I got a strong inspiration to organise a retreat to Malta. I trusted my intuition and started organising the trip right away.

This blog post will be constantly updated with new information about the trip.

Subscribe to this post’s comments to be constantly updated with new information about the retreat.

You can also leave your own comments on this post with any questions or ideas that you have.

So far, here’s what I have come up with:

1. The retreat will take place from 1st till 8th of December. I’ve been December time in Malta before, and the weather is excellent. It’s not too hot and it’s definitely not cold – it’s just right. At such time there are almost no tourists, so it will be very relaxing, plus the prices of food and other goods will be much lower.

2. We will be staying in the island of Gozo, which is a Maltese island. I’ve been to Gozo before and that island is amazing – very quiet, historical and clean. Read point 4 for more information about how to get to Gozo.

2. I will take a small group of people with me, up to 7 people. I will not take more people because it’s the first time I’m organising a retreat and a small group of people will make it easy for me to get to grips with planning such retreats. Also, small groups are more personal and connect better, thus we all will have a great time getting to know each other and progressing together.

3. We will be staying in two old luxury farmhouses. I prefer farmhouses to hotels because farmhouses are informal and much more fun. After a great day out we will go back home, sit in the living room with some hot drinks and snacks and talk about spirituality, mind power and other awareness-raising topics.

The reason I booked two farmhouses is because usually a farmhouse has up to 5 bedrooms, so it’s not enough room for all of us. Because I booked two farmhouses, we will all have an extra or two spare rooms and we will each have our own bathroom. Also, we will be gathering at one place for talks, because both farmhouses are very near each other.

Here are some of the pictures of the two farmhouses we will be staying in:

4. Which farmhouse will I stay in? I will probably book the first 3 people into the farmhouse I will be staying in, and those who will book the trip later will be staying in a nearby farmhouse.

5. I will leave the flight booking to you. I will not book flights because different people have different preferences about flights: some prefer economy, some prefer first class, so it’s better for you personally to book it.

If there are no flights to Gozo island, simply book the flight to Malta International Airport (the only airport in Malta, as far as I know) and then the taxi (which will be ordered by me) will take you right to Gozo, with a ferry included. The Malta-Gozo ferry is a 24-hour one and it takes around 15-20 minutes to get to the other shore, as far as I remember.

6. The ground transport is included in the price. That means you will be picked up from the airport and dropped back. We will be using ferries, taxis, boats and buses throughout our stay, so that we would experience the real taste of Malta!

7. What’s not included in your retreat package:

Food. It will be up to you whether to purchase food in stores or eat in restaurants. In general, we will go to some restaurants, maybe have some snacks/drinks in cafes and then purchase some food to eat at home. It will be great after a day out to come back home and have some of our own made food.

Tickets to museums. Some people are big fans of museums and some are not, so I will leave this entirely up to you. You may decide to go to a couple museums during our stay whilst we stay in or do some sightseeing.

8. The amount of money you should be taking with you. £15 a day should be more than enough, unless you want to eat in restaurants daily, which will cost you about 10-25 for a two-course meal. Also, if you want to do some shopping here, it’s a great place for accessories, household items, but clothing, for example, is quite expensive. So depending on how much shopping you want to do here, I would advice you to have at least extra £140 for our stay.

9. The cost of the Mind, Body and Soul retreat is £699 per person. In dollars, that’s approximately $1,021. Please keep in mind that you will have to book your flight.

10. Refunds. If you cancel your booking within seven days of your order, you will get a full refund.

If you cancel within 8-25 days, you will get a 50% refund.

26+ days – no refund.

11. When you land in Malta you will be greeted by a Taxi driver holding your name on the board, in the Arrivals’ area. The driver then will take you right to one of the farmhouses. It’s much more fun to meet the people you will be staying in at the arrivals’ area and then together be taken to your destination. So ideally you should all book the flight at the same time. Here’s your ideal flight:

If you will be flying from London, then select the options (if they are still available) as shown in this image. You can also select “Flexi” or “Club” option, depending on your preferences. If these times are unavailable or you are flying from another country, then it would be ideal if you would land at a similar time (around 4pm) in Malta. In general, select the later flight to Malta rather than an earlier one, so that I would already be there to greet you.

For a flight back, choose a later flight so that we would still have time to spend in Malta. A 5pm flight or so would be perfect. Also, let me know the times of your flight, so that I would make taxi arrangements.

12. Disclaimer. I cannot be held responsible in any way for any accidents during your stay or your flight. Therefore it would be wise to get a travel insurance, especially if you have never been to Malta before.

Day One

We all arrive in Gozo, unpack and relax for an hour or two in our accommodation. You should take some food with you for a start as you may feel hungry after the trip. It’s likely that we will all arrive in Gozo by 5pm, so we will still have a few hours to explore the island.

After some relaxation we take a walk in Gozo to get the taste of the island. The walk won’t be long as some of you might be really tired after the flight. During the walk we find out more about each other to understand each other better.

Once we get a bit tired, we go back to the farmhouse and have some hot/cold drinks and a snack. At this time it is likely to be quite late, so we relax and go to sleep early, to get enough energy for tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of Gozo, for you to get a better idea of what the island is like. Keep in mind that we won’t be staying in Gozo only – most times we will also get the ferry from Gozo to the main island of Malta. You can order the retreat here.

Day Two – Getting To Know The Island of Gozo & Focusing on the Body

Today we wake up at around 8 or 9 am and have breakfast. We will spend all day getting to know a beautiful island of Gozo, where we are staying. We visit ancient Gozo monuments, historic buildings and some old religious sites. We go to a beautiful Cathedral with plenty of open spaces and the open view of the whole island of Gozo. I’ve been there before and the view is breathtaking.

At this panoramic site, we discuss the first of the three topics of the retreat – the Body topic. I explain how to have harmony in your body, what the illnesses of your body tell you and the importance of healthy living.

We also play a game to find out about the needs of your body and what’s best for you. It’s a really great game which shows what choices will benefit you and which direction to take if you are stuck in life. The messages that come are from your core and they pass through your body and that’s how you can catch them. This game will open your eyes to your personal truth and after it you will know exactly what you should do with your life, in case you are stuck or unhappy.

After our discussion and a game we go to some Gozo shops to buy some food because today we will have a picnic. After some shopping we arrive to the Azure Window, which is one of the most photographed places in Gozo. Here are some pictures of the place:

This is one of the most visited spots in Gozo because of its natural beauty. It was created millions of years ago when two caves collapsed. This site, as well as the Blue Hole, are popular scuba diving places.

I advise you to wear comfortable clothes if you want to walk on the rocks of the Azure Window. Also, wear reliable and comfortable shoes. This natural formation is disintegrating and soon it will disappear, so it’s great that we still have time to take pictures of it.

And the good thing is, as we are there in December, there will be no or little tourists, so we will be able to fully enjoy this place. In this spot we firstly meditate (if you don’t want to meditate, you can simply enjoy the view), have some open discussion and then we have a picnic on the cliff of the site, where we enjoy a perfect view of the open sea.

After our time in Azure Window, we come back home and relax for an hour or two. Then we take a walk through the ancient Gozo streets enjoying the sunset. During our walk we talk about our appearance. We will discuss whether it matters how people look and how people perceive you. Sometimes it’s hard to see who you are as a person in the eyes of other people. Also, different people see you in different ways.

During our walk I explain why different people see you differently and how to make the impression that you want to make on people, without them misinterpreting you or seeing you though their perception. That is indeed possible to do and I will explain you in detail how to do that. So think in advance how you want people to perceive you and then tell me your idea.

Once we get a bit tired, we go to have a meal. Some of you may choose to eat at the restaurant and some will want to stay at home. After the meal we all come back home, relax, meditate (that’s optional, of course) and go to sleep.

Some details:

  • We will exchange numbers with each other. You will get my personal number and don’t forget to let me know your number. This way the communication will be fast and if some issues arise we will sort them out very quickly.

Hmmm, this sounds like the perfect vacation / learning experience. It has been several years since I was out of the country and would need to get a new passport. On top of that, I really do not like to fly so I would probably have to find a boat over and travel by land instead. This sounds like a great opportunity to take a cruse / sight seeing trip back and forth. Time for me to work on manifesting a holiday ;) .
