10 Times More Productive

Would you like to be much more productive than you currently are? You can definitely achieve more productivity with the powerful NLP technique that I’ve learnt quite some time ago.
With this technique you choose what internal state you want to experience (be it productivity, relaxation, creativity or something else) and anchor this state to some stimulus. The stimulus can be anything you choose, such as a place, hand movement, word or something like that. In this post I focus on how to anchor any place you choose with productivity.
A good place to start feeling productive is the area where you work. This could be your office or a spare room in your house. So if this place is accessible to you at this moment, you can try this technique and see what change it brings.
So firstly you need to think about what qualities are required for you to feel productive. Different people feel productive for different reasons, but I find focus and value creation the ingredients necessary to be productive. I also think that being energetic, positive and willing to take action helps to become productive.
Once you know what makes you productive, go to the area you work in (it’s best to sit behind the desk as though you are ready to work) and think of a time you felt really productive and had all those resources you just thought of (energy, focus, etc.). Try to remember exactly how you felt and what you saw. See that experience as though it was happening to you at this very moment.
Once this is done, step out of this area and spell your surname backwards. This will break the productivity state you have just created and will leave the productivity state associated to a particular place that you chose.
Now step into that area again. How do you feel? If, as soon as you stepped back into that area, you felt productive, then the exercise has been successful. If not, then strengthen the productivity state the same way as before: be in the place you want to feel more productive, remember the time you were productive and experience this state fully, then again step out of the area to break the state and step in again.
For some people it takes a couple of times to properly anchor this state to a particular area, to some people it happens the first time. I did it only once and I got a strong anchor. It works so well that whenever I wake up and feel sleepy, I simply go to the room where I work and I no longer feel sleepy. I feel completely focused and willing to work. What’s more, I feel enthusiastic and full of energy. This is simply amazing.
Productivity is not the only state that can be anchored, of course. You can choose your bedroom to elicit relaxation (especially for people who find it hard to fall asleep) or you can choose your living room to bring forth the feeling of happiness – whatever works for you.
There are plenty of unconscious anchors in your life that you established accidentally. For example, when some people sit down on their beds, they start feeling tired although a minute ago they were full of energy. Or the smell of some particular perfume may remind you of some person.
Some people have unconsciously set negative anchors, such as going to the kitchen elicits the feeling of hunger. So even if you’re not hungry and you just want to get a glass of water, as soon as you go to the kitchen, you end up having some kind of snack. Or when you go to some place (like your parent’s home or some gathering), you instantly feel annoyed or angry.
It’s possible to break such negative anchors and I’m in the process of learning that. So as soon as I know how to do that, I will tell you about it.
Anchors also can be set for certain words, movements, colors and anything else you can think of, so it doesn’t have to be only for a place. You can set a visual anchor in a person that when you make a certain expression, he/she feels in some particular way.
So as you see, anchoring is a very powerful NLP technique that can be used in so many ways. I hope that with this knowledge you will be able to consciously elicit positive states which will lead you to a much more fulfilling future.

Simona,
Thank you for posting this information. This technique does work very well for setting positive actions into play. It also works very well to help remove negative and bad habits, replacing them with positive actions.
