My Experience with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)


Emotional Freedom Technique is used to eliminate all negative emotions, addictions and even medical conditions such as headaches.

This technique can also be used to eliminate limiting beliefs, reduce weight and get rid of phobias.

I must admit that the first time I saw a video about Emotional Freedom Technique I was a bit sceptical.

All those strange tapping areas and karate chops (:)) really did not seem convincing to me. However I try to never judge anything until I test it, so I made a promise to myself that any time I feel stress, fear or my health is not as good, I will give EFT a try.

Although headaches for me are a thing of the past since I started meditating, for some strange reason one day after returning from the shopping centre I started feeling headache. I assume it was because of the very hot weather, no wind and crowds of people whose energy I picked up on and that drained me.

When I was thinking about the possible reason for my headache, I remembered this strange technique that some people claim works on everything. I found a video explaining the technique and started earnestly following it.

I carefully and in full faith went through the whole process and then stopped. I was shocked. It worked the first time I did it! My headache had diminished whilst me witnessing that.

Since that day I became seriously interested in this amazing technique. It works on any subject that you have difficulty with, be it your financial situation, stress, love, depression, limiting beliefs – pick anything that you have trouble with and apply this amazing technique.

It even worked on tiredness! One day I was working on many projects and it was important for me to finish as many of them as possible. However I was feeling very tired and I felt a bit disappointed that I cannot be as productive because of this feeling.

Then I remembered the Emotional Freedom Technique and I thought I will try it on tiredness. And yes, it worked too! But I have to warn you here – I had so much energy that I had to go to sleep at 2AM (usually I go to sleep at 12 midnight).

I am so glad that I may be the first one introducing this technique to you. You must try it because it is so effortless yet it really does wonders.

Here is the basic technique that you can use:

Simple Emotional Freedom Technique

(This is the same technique I used to get rid of my headache.)

1.Asses on a scale of 1 to 10 (one being lowest and 10 being highest) how strong the negative feeling that you hold is.

2.If you are right-handed, then you will need to use your two or three right hand fingers for tapping shown in the picture. If you are left-handed then you will need to use your left hand for that:

3.With these two or three fingers start tapping your other hand on the position shown in this picture...

...and repeat:

“Even though I feel (the negative feeling that you feel), I deeply and completely accept myself”.

Repeat this several times, then stop and assess on a scale of 1 to 10 your current condition. You should keep tapping this way until this negative feeling disappears.

I have shown you the simplest Emotional Freedom Technique. However there are many more tapping areas which can help you reduce very negative emotions. If you have some mild negative feeling the technique that I have shown you will probably eliminate it, but if the negative feeling is strong then you should go through a more detailed process.
